Sabine left her snowy home soon after the murder of her grandmother, a master herbalist and healer. During her travels south she encountered the Moonlit Mug tavern, then under a spell causing it to appear and reappear in various places. Upon entering, Sabine was transported by the tavern and luckily ended up in a village on E'atara. This is where she first met the Baron Loquitor Braethen, one of the tavern's owners - now Sabine's beloved. She worked in the Moonlit Mug for a short time, while she was first introduced to FALO.

Sabine inherited her grandmother's love of herbalism, and though exposed to the craft all her life, received her first formal training from Igraine, aunt of E'ile Hawthorne. While no longer studying with Igraine on a consistent basis, Sabine still considers herself a student - though her talents may prove otherwise. Fiercely determined to find her grandmother's murderer, Sabine has traveled home to Snowdrop the past two summers, hoping to gain more knowledge. She suspects the attack was not simply personal, but that it was related to the vast knowledge of Snowdrop herbology her grandmother possessed. Shortly before her death, Jasrin gave Sabine one of her books; though unreadable due to a spell placed upon it, Sabine believes the book may one day be the key to the information she seeks.

When Sabine had been studying with Igraine for several months, Igraine confessed she had known Jasrin, and gave Sabine a necklace sent to her by Jasrin for safekeeping. The necklace represents an Ivanneth flower, one of the most potent herbs indigenous to Snowdrop. Sabine is hardly ever seen without this necklace and her Silivren, a small snowflake brooch. Contrary to its decorative appearance, the Silivren is an item of importance: if used properly it will conceal the bearer from sight. As for the key around her neck, that is another story entirely - one that Loquitor will gladly tell.

With generous funds from Queen Sparrowreed Moonbeam, Sabine is currently building a greenhouse in Crescentwood, Loquitor's barony in Crystalmyst. She hopes to start an herb garden and will attempt to grow some Snowdrop flora for use and study. As many Snowdrop plants require low temperatures but much sunlight, this may prove a difficult task. Although somewhat reserved in nature, Sabine loves to dance and sing, especially at gatherings of her chosen family, the Clan of FALO.
